• Fast (fa:st, -œ-): To abstain from food, or to restrict oneself to a meager diet, either as a religious observance or as a ceremonial expression of grief; to go without food; also (contextually) to go without drink; to pass (time) fasting; to keep or observe (a day, etc.) as a time of abstinence.

Spiritual Focus

This year we are participating in our corporate time of consecration Sunday, January 6 through Saturday, January 26, 2019. This is the time we have set aside to consecrate ourselves and our ministry to God through prayer and fasting.

Humility before God:
Be honest with ourselves and God about where we are in life and our relationship with Him.

Seek God:
Ask God for direction and clarity as we acknowledge and declare our dependence on Him in every area of life. Ask God to instruct you in what pleases Him and to fully manifest His presence and power in your life.

Turn from Our Wicked Way:
Repent. Confess our sins to God. Ask Him for forgiveness. Step away from the habits and environments (thoughts and activities) that displease Him.

Activate Your Faith:
Make your request known to God. Pray with expectation that He will answer you clearly.

Accept Your Faith:
Do what God says and watch the results. Accept His love, healing, salvation, hope, deliverance, protection, provision and strength…the answers to your prayers. REJOICE!

Social Focus

Limit all internet, social media, movies, television, use of cellphones and recreation during the consecration. This does not mean you can’t use the preceding for needful things (use wisdom). Spend your time praying or reading your Bible or other Christian book. Listen to Gospel music only. Refer to the Consecration webpage for more information.
