WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26).

    BIBLE
  • There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1-3; John 15:26; II Corinthians 13:14; I John 5:7).

    GOD
  • Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; John 1:29; Colossians 1:18).

    JESUS CHRIST
  • The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39)

    THE HOLY SPIRIT
  • Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12; Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25).

    WATER BAPTISM
  • We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. (Romans 10:9-10; I Corinthians15:1-4; I Timothy 4:12-16)

    SALVATION
  • The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23).

    THE CHURCH
  • Tithing is the giving of one-tenth of one’s personal income to support the work of God. We believe tithing is a recognition that everything we have comes from God. The practice checks our greed, promotes personal discipline and thrift, testifies to our faith, promotes God’s work in the world, and alleviates human need. The practice of tithing predates the giving of the Old Testament law. Abraham tithed in response to God’s blessing and faithfulness (Genesis 14:18-20) and was no doubt blessed because of his faithful tithing. Today’s church still relies on the support of tithers. (Malachi 3:10, Matt. 23:23)
